Valentine's Day Series: Lady In Red Look

So it's February, otherwise known as the month of love. What better way to celebrate this month than with a series of Valentine's Day looks. Now I know not every one may have a Valentine's this year, myself included, but that does not mean that we can't dress up and be inspired by the day itself.

The first thing that popped into my mind about Valentine's Day is the colour: red. It's everywhere this month. So I thought that the best way to kick off this series is with red lips. Everyone knows that red lipstick is iconic. It is the unofficial symbol of makeup across the globe. So here is my take on red lips.

All products used are MAC unless otherwise noted.

On Eyes: Indianwood as base on the eyelid with Jardin Aires pigment on top. In the crease Twinks and Bisque as the  browbone highlight.

Top lashline is lined with Physicians Formula black gel eyeliner  and on lashes L'Oreal Voluminous mascara.

On Cheeks: Sweet As Cocoa Blush.

On Lips: Lips were filled in with Brick lipliner topped with Russian Red lipstick. Then lips were rimmed with 80% lip liner.

  3. Hi, I've been following your blog for a while, I really like the make up up looks and especially this red lip stick, I think I have something similar. Just a bit of a suggestion, when you take pictures of your make up would you mind removing your glasses so I could see your make up better?

    1. Thanks Chris! I normally do an eye pic for closeup looks of the eye. But since this one was so basic I just listed the products. I keep the glasses on because the majority of the media tends to ignore the fact that people who wear glasses wear makeup as well, and the effect that eye makeup on a non glasses wearer translates differently on those who wear glasses.
